Brief
Biography
Rickie
Nishi was born in Japan, but has since lived in North America
for 30+ years.
She began painting more than two decades ago, simultaneously
with floral arrangement.
Under the instruction of Uwe Geïsler, a Mëssen painter,
she has studied for over a decade.
She currently travels worldwide for seminars, as well as teaching
at her home studio in Atlanta, Georgia.
Life
as an Artist
Rickie
Nishi opend the doors to her home to teach painting classes
while in California,
where she resided until mid-1997.
Now in Atlanta, she holds classes twice a week at her home studio
while teaching at Kennesaw
State University's Continuing
Education Department.
She specilizes in European style china
painting, as well as Noritake and Imari styles of Japanese painting.
